2022 Trail Construction

Construction of the Powerline Trail, from the Oak Leaf trail crossing at W. Cold Spring Road (near S. 105th Street), begins this spring! Phase 1 of the trail will continue east for three miles to S. 60th Street. The trail is scheduled to open in the fall of 2022.

Two More Grant Opportunities

The City of Greenfield has sponsored two more grant applications for funding the design and construction the Powerline Trail Phase 1. The Multimodal Local Supplement (MLS) program may be used for multimodal transportation projects, including  bicycle and pedestrian facilities. First Grant Application Submitted

On July 31, 2019, the City of Greenfield sponsored a grant application for funding to design and construct the Powerline Trail Phase 1. The Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement program (CMAQ) encourages transportation projects that improve air quality, including  bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
