On July 31, 2019, the City of Greenfield sponsored a grant application for funding to design and construct the Powerline Trail Phase 1. The Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement program (CMAQ) encourages transportation projects that improve air quality, including  bicycle and pedestrian facilities. This grant program is administered by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. CMAQ funding would pay for 80% of the project cost.

There is a lot of competition for these funds! We need your help! Please contact your State Senator and Assembly Representative, and encourage them to support the Powerline Trail CMAQ grant application. More information can be found in the Get Involved section of this website.
